Gyms are closed. We have every excuse now to not workout and not stay on top of our fitness goals. Our every day reality has changed for many of us. I have young children and since being home, my wife and I have be come their default teachers. In no situation is this ideal. Out kitchen table has become more than just where we eat. It's where my oldest son is finishing Kindergarten, it's where my pre-schooler is trying his best to understand letters and numbers. It's an art easel, a volcano base, and a top for blanket forts among other things. We're figuring out how to be the best teachers we can be. It's not easy.

The same can be said with sticking to a fitness routine and staying on track with our goals. It's not easy. It was never easy to do at home, but that's where gyms came into play. It was a place to "escape" from the everyday, and for many, myself included, it was therapy. The schedule of our days included time to workout. The places to go to workout have diminished, but they are not gone. We still have our homes, and a lot can be done in our homes.

I personally don't have a significant amount of equipment at home. A sandbag, and kettlebell, gymnastic rings, pull-up bar, bands, and an assortment of very light dumbbells. It's not really a whole lot, but staying on track has been all about setting time out of each day to get my workout and doing more with less. That is where the difference lies for me. I understand what to do and I'm setting time aside to get it done. It doesn't matter how much or how little equipment you have, set aside just 20 minutes or so to move with intent.
